The name ‘Daunker ‘ sounds very different and we would think its an exotic dish. However, this Pachadi is made from Urad dal and is a side dish for rice .
Its very simple and can be made with very few ingredients .

- Urad Dal 2 teaspoons
- Sour butter milk or curd 1/2 cup
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Green chilies 2
- Asafoetida 1/4 teaspoon
- Curry leaves few
- Coriander leaves few (chopped fine )
- Mustard half a teaspoon
- Oil 1 teaspoon

Method
- Dry roast the urad dal in a small pan, till light brown. Powder finely.
- Add to the curd or butter milk along with salt and asafoetida .
- Heat oil in the pan , add mustard , when it bursts , add green chilies and curry leaves.
- Season the butter milk. Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve with Plain rice .
