Coriander Seeds Thogaiyal

 

 

 

 

Coriander seeds is heart friendly , protects the brain and immune boosting anti oxidant, appetite stimulant ,clears skin , reduces bloating and gut issues .

So making this thogaiyal , once in a while, helps in keeping our system in perfect condition.

Ingredients

  1. Coriander seeds half a cup
  2. Red chilies 6 to 8
  3. Black Pepper corns 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Asafoetida (Hing) 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Sesame oil  5 teaspoons
  6. Salt  2 teaspoons
  7. Tamarind  marble size
  8. Mustard 1 teaspoon
  9. Blackgram dal ( Urad dal) 1 1/2  teaspoons

 

  1. In a small uruli or a saute pan , add oil and heat .
  2. Add the coriander seeds , and stir fry. When they turn slightly brown, add rest of the ingredients .
  3. Shallow fry for a minute or so , in low heat .
  4. Make a coarse  paste, by sprinkling water , in a mixie .
  5. The thogaiyal is ready to be eaten with rice .
