Tomato Raita / Thakkali Pachadi / Tomato Pachadi

Pachadis , are essentially curd based,  accompaniments , for Pulao or Biriyani . They can be also eaten, as stand alone dish , when you feel peckish and you do not want to eat junk .They are quick to make and are easy on the stomach. Pachadis can be made from a variety  of vegetables , like cucumber , carrot ,onions , beetroot etc. Tomato is the  commonest of all.

 

Ingredients

  1. Tomato 2 ( chopped fine)
  2. Curd   3 cups
  3. Salt 1 teaspoon
  4. Oil 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Green chilies 2 ( chopped fine)
  6. Mustard   1/2  teaspoon

Method

  • Whisk the curd and add salt . Season with mustard and green chilies
  • Eat as it is , or serve with Pulao / Biriyani or any rice based dish.
