If you have a garden and you are blessed with a great harvest of Raw banana , make crispy chips and relish them at leisure. They make great accompaniments for rice and can be eaten just like that . Raw banana has high Potassium content , improve the digestion, as they are rich in fibre . They are good for skin and health and help in diabetes and control blood pressure .
These chips, as they are deep fried should be taken in moderation.

- Raw Banana 6 in number
- Coconut Oil for deep frying 1 litre
- Chili powder 2 teaspoon
- Salt 2 teaspoons
- Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
- Asafoetida (Hing) 1 teaspoon

- Peel the washed and dried bananas . Cut them into thin round slices . The round slices should be as thin as possible.
- Use a slicer to cut them , preferably.
- Heat oil in a deep bottomed kadai or pan . When the oil is sizzling hot , add a bunch of slices .
- The slices should have adequate space between them, to fry well.
- Deep fry them to light brown.
- Keep a drain plate or colander ready with napkins to absorb the oil.
- Deep fry all the slices, thus in batches.
- Drain .
- Sprinkle chili powder , turmeric powder , salt and asafoetida . Mix well .
- The hot crispy chips are ready to be eaten .
- Store them in a clean dry container .
- Other kinds of oil too can be used.

- While slicing manually, slice the bananas, as thin as possible to get crispy chips.
- Use more salt , chili powder ,if desired.
- Use a slicer available in the market to slice the vegetable.
