Radish Kosumalli / Mullangi Kosumalli

 

Radish Kosumalli , is simple and delicious South Indian salad . It pairs well, with all kuzhambus and rice preparations . It can be eaten, as it is too .

Radish is a immune boosting vegetable , which is rich in Calcium and Pottasium.  Its very easy to make and gets done quickly.

Ingredients

  1. Radish  ( grated)   1 cup
  2. Turmeric Powder half a teaspoon
  3. Salt  half a teaspoon
  4. Asafoetida / Hing  1/4 teaspoon
  5. Oil half a teaspoon
  6. Mustard 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Green chilies 1  ( chopped small)

Method

  • Squeeze the grated radish and remove the juice . Add salt and keep aside . Again remove juice, after 10 minutes.
  • Add turmeric powder and asafoetida . Season with mustard and green chilies .
  • Garnish with chopped coriander or curry leaves , if desired.
