Ingredients
- Plantains 3 ( Chopped into two)
- Dried Red Chilies 6 to 8
- Oil 4 teaspoons
- Mustard 1 teaspoons
- Black gram dal ( Urad dal) 2 teaspoons
- Red gram dal (tuvar dal) 2 teaspoons
- Asafoetida ( Perumgayam) Hing 1/4 teaspoon

Method
- In a saute pan or a small shallow pan , add oil and heat it for 30 secs . Add Mustard , Red chilies , Asafoetida , Urad dal , Tuvar dal and shallow fry.
- When the Dals become reddish brown , remove and cool . Powder coarsely .
- Cook the Plantains with peel in a steamer or pressure cooker . Peel and crumble them and add the prepared powder and mix well .
- Tasty Plantain curry is ready .
