This is a forgotten recipe from Tamilnadu. Moar Koozh or Mor Koozh is chiefly made of rice flour and made in Kalchatti , to get an authentic taste . However it can be made in ordinary kadai too .
This gooey tangy preparation could take you back to childhood days. Can be made for breakfast or as a snack its healthy and filling.
Very easy to make , from very few ingredients , its a delight to eat too.

- Rice flour 2 cups
- Sour buttermilk 1 cup
- Salt as desired
- Sesame Oil 1/4 cup (a little less than that)
- Mustard 1 1/2 teaspoon
- Urad dal 2 teaspoons
- Moar milagai ( salted chilies) 7 to 8
- Asafoetida 1/4 teaspoon
- Curry leaves few

- Mix the Rice flour with buttermilk.
- Heat a seasoned Kalchatti or kadai , add oil . Add Mustard , when it crackles , add Urad dal , Curry leaves , Asafoetida and Mor milagai.
- Give a stir . Add the slurry of rice flour and buttermilk . Add salt . Cook in medium heat.
- Stir vigorously with a flat ladle . The whole mixture will become thick like Upma .
- Transfer to a banana leaf or a plate and flatten them.
- Cut into small squares . Serve and enjoy.

Note
- Instead of Mor milagai , you can add dried red chilies and green chilies .
- Use a Kalchatti or stone ware vessel to make this ,to get an authentic taste.
