Coconut Dosai/ Coconut Pancakes/ Thengai Dosai

 

 

 

 

 

 

This dosai needs hardly much of ingredients and makes for a filling , high carb  snack . Its got the goodness of coconut and when teamed with ellu podi  (Sesame seeds Powder) and  chutney .  it tastes like heaven.

  1. Raw Rice 2 cups
  2. Urad dal ( Black gram dal) quarter of a cup
  3. Water to grind
  4. Coconut (Grated ) half a cup
  5. Salt 2 teaspoons
  6. Coconut Oil for shallow frying  1/4 cup

Method

Method

  • Soak the rice for 2 hours along with urad dal. Grind to a fine batter , adding 1 cup of water.
  • Add salt and coconut gratings .Mix well .
  • Grease  a dosai kal or pan  and heat it . Take a ladle of the batter and move  it in circular fashion to make a dosai.
  • Apply oil all around (about a teaspoon) the dosai and shallow fry till light brown.
  • Flip the other side and cook too . Sof t doasai are ready
  • Enjoy the got dosais when hot along with ellu podi and tomato chutney.
