Rava Milk Cake

 

 

 

A very sweet chewy delicacy, which is very popular amongst the children .  Milk cake,  is a type of burfi or fudge,  which is made with very few ingredients . Extremely tasty and delicious , though its a bit of time consuming to prepare . The process though is very simple and results worth the effort to be taken .

 

Ingredients

  1. Milk     ( preferably full fat )    1 litre
  2. Sugar   2 cups
  3. Semolina   2 teaspoons
  4. Ghee half cup to three fourths of a cup

Method

 

  • In a deep bottomed pan or Uruli , add ghee and when its melts a little, add semolina . Shallow fry , for a minute or two , till it becomes light brown.
  • Add sugar and milk and stir  well . Cook in low heat,  till  sugar gets dissolved.   Go on stirring and cooking the whole mixture, till it thickens to a grainy mass .
  • The total moisture will be absorbed and it will leave the sides of the pan.
  • Transfer to a greasy plate with edges   .
  • Cut them with a knife, when they are slightly cool and remove them and keep in a container when totally cool.
  • Add a little more ghee , if required while cooking .
