Punarpagam/ Chawal ka Dahliya / Rice Porridge

Rice kanji is the most cooling gruel/kanji to drink , when you suffer from indigestion , fever and weakness.
Also if you suffer from dehydration , make this kanji and drink .If you suffer from loss of appetite too , you could make this gruel to get back to normal .
Its nourishing and refreshing , light on stomach and helps the body to heal .
It can be made in two ways
Method one
Cooked rice 1/2 cup
Water 2 cups
Heat water , add rice to the boiling water and cook again. The rice will break and dissolve in the water , and a thick porridge gets done.
Strain out the water on top .
Add salt , stir and serve hot .You can add sugar and milk too and have it .
Delicious kanji is done in minutes.
Second method
Take Boiled rice (one fourth cup ) and grind it to rava like texture (coarsely like semolina).
Boil 3 cups of water , add the coarsely powdered rice and cook till soft.
Let it simmer till the rice breaks up and dissolves to form a porridge .
Add salt or sugar and milk and stir . Drink while its hot .
Tastes heavenly.
