Jaggery Wheat Flour Dosai/ Vella Dosai

 

This delicious  instant dosai is liked by one and all.

Gooey sweetness of Jaggery in the wheat flour is hard to resist. Enjoy this as  a breakfast or as a snack.

  1. Wheat flour 2 cups
  2. Rice flour 1/4 to 1/2 cup
  3. Jaggery  1 cup (powdered ) or Palm Sugar
  4. Cardamom 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Coconut shredded  1/2 cup
  6. Ghee for shallow frying 1/2 cup

Method 

Method

  • Mix the flours and the jaggery  in a wide bowl.  Add 2 cups of  water to make a thick flowy batter.
  • Add coconut and stir .
  • Heat a  iron dosai p an , grease with half teaspoon of ghee.
  • Add a ladle of the batter to the hot pan and make a circular motions, to get the shape of the dosai.
  • Add  half teaspoon of ghee all around the dosai . shallow fry till golden brown.
  • With a flat ladle , flip to the other side . shallow fry for a minute or more, till brown spots come.
  • Remove when well fried, serve hot or eat immediately .
  • Delicious Jaggery dosai is ready .
